Here are some fast facts all about how we in Britain use the internet.  Please note these figures were compiled in May 2008 and therefore, most likely, the numbers will have gone up.

Using the internet

“There are 30 million Britons aged 15+ who have used the internet at home on a computer in the past month.”

“12.2 million internet users agree with the statement “I value the opportunity to add my own content/views to a website””

“27.4 million internet users have a broadband connection at home and 12.8 million have used a wireless connection at home.”

“5.6 million GB adults view blogs once a month or more.”

“1.8 million GB adults have ever used a podcasting service.”

Now doesn’t that make you think?

So any of you Ammanford or Swansea businesses out there who don’t use the computer much yourself (probably because of lack of time through running your business, which is totally understandable) do need to come on board with the fact that, just because you don’t, doesn’t mean your customers and more importantly “potential new customers” don’t…

Food for thought…
